In 1984, an exact replica was created for the Grace Under Pressure Japanese tour by Hoshino-Gakki.

The original was given away by Neil to Jack Hess of Indiana, winner of a contest in Modern Drummer in 1987. It sat in his basement untill August 1999, when it sold on eBay to Scott Jemm of Arizona for $26,100. He displayed the kit until 2002, when it auctioned at starting price of $12,000. There were no bids at first, but it sold for $14,621.12. The buyer allowed Robert Telleria, webmaster of Merely Players, to restore the kit. It took four months and $20,000. He later bought the kit for himself.

On June 26, 2012, it was auctioned off on the Julien's Live website for $35,000. It included non-original drums, including a 20" x 14" gong bass drum, two timbales at 13" x 6 1/2" and 14" x 6 1/2" with Remo Ambassador heads, and custom Protechtor drum cases by XL Specialty Percussion, Inc.
